My grandfather studied with Freud in early 20th-century Germany. Though he never formally taught me psychoanalysis, I feel I inherited his deep understanding—almost as if it was passed down through generations. From a young age, I was captivated by the idea that truly listening to people’s struggles could help them transform.

Clinical Consultation Group

Being a therapist is not an easy undertaking. Our clients look at us for answers to their life questions and for deep understanding of their pain and struggles. How do we respond? What kinds of issues do their concerns raise in us? How do we work with them in the best possible way to help with their healing and growth? Being new, or relatively new, to the field, makes these questions all the more daunting to deal with.

In my supervision group, we address questions like these. The group is a lively and safe place to talk about the clinical challenges you experience vis a vis helping your clients through the issues and life dilemmas they face. It is also a good space to talk about any concerns you may be having about your work environment and get support.

I have been running a clinical supervision group since 2010. Many participants have received their “C” from the hours they have acquired from being in this group in addition to the hours they accrued from individual supervision.

LCSWs also participate in the group as it is a good place for discussing and receiving feedback and perspective on work with clients.

As the facilitator of this group, I hold an open space for the group to discuss cases-for everyone to offer their questions, opinions and reflections regarding a case. I work from a psychodynamic perspective.

From my experience, most of the difficulties people have stem from dynamics in their family of origin. I am very knowledgeable about attachment issues.

Individual Supervision

Some people want a more in-depth opportunity to discuss cases. Working with me offers you a chance

to really think about your work with individual clients, gain confidence in your thinking and reflect on

the issues of transference and more importantly, counter transference as they arise in relation to clients

you are seeing.

It is an exciting opportunity for personal, as well as, professional growth.
