My grandfather studied with Freud in Germany in the early part of the 20th century. While he did not directly teach me psychoanalysis, I feel I received a transmission from him. I was drawn to the idea that listening to people’s problems could help them change.

As a young teen, I read “Summerhill” and wanted people to have a transformative experience like that.

So, it’s been my calling to be a therapist since a young age.

Professional Training and Experience

I have a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Bryn Mawr College. I attended the Council for Relationship’s two-year Marriage and Family Therapy Training program.

My experience as a parenting educator includes working with at-risk families at Children’s Crisis Treatment Center, Philadelphia Health Management Corporation and Family Support Services.

I led a team of parent educators. I organized support groups, parent education classes and supervised various programs.

I ran support groups for caregivers, ran a program documenting the life stories of elders in the community, and led a peer group for elders experiencing isolation.
