Parenting is one of the greatest joys of my life. Many years ago, I became part of an organization that introduced me to transformative parenting concepts—insights that not only shaped how I connected with my daughter but also helped me give her the kind of emotional connection I had wished for as a child.

The most impactful lessons I learned are:

Children are unique individuals, each with their own thoughts, feelings, and perspectives. It’s vital that we listen to and respect their inner world.

Active listening—tuning in to what your child is experiencing—is essential for their emotional well-being and development. This means setting aside your own thoughts and distractions to truly hear them. Even now, I find myself challenged by this, especially when my daughter needs my full attention.

Engaging with your child in their world—whether through play, conversation, or simply sharing in their joys, fears, and curiosities—is key. This kind of presence communicates to them that they are seen, heard, loved, and respected. It nurtures their confidence and self-belief.

Offering this kind of attunement isn't always easy. Many of us didn’t receive it ourselves when we were children, making it more challenging to provide to our own kids. However, with awareness and effort, it’s absolutely possible, especially when we’re willing to explore and heal from our own past experiences.

If you desire a deeper, more positive bond with your children, reflecting on and working through your own history can be incredibly valuable.

This is where I come in.

In my work with children and families, I hold these truths as the foundation of our journey together. Helping parents truly hear their children's concerns and guiding them through emotional challenges is at the heart of my practice. When attunement is difficult, families often experience confusion and conflict. My goal is to help you navigate these dynamics, creating a warm, loving, and harmonious family environment.
